It does it often enough that we cannot use the automatic settings, and have to stand over it to make sure that it's flowing into the carafe, repeatedly checking water level, and trying to figure out if it's actually going into the carafe. This is an absolute PAIN, and we might as well be making coffee the old fashioned way, pouring hot water into a cone manually (which by the way, makes absolutely better coffee). We tried different coffee grounds, making sure everything is absolutely clean and it still does it. I want to love the coffee maker as so many other people do, but there are just too many problems.the coffee tastes great.when it's not running all over the counter.
I have had this product 3 months now and could not be happier. Setup and brewing were perfect the first time. Cleaning is simple and effortless.
I disconnect the coffee maker after making coffee and store it under the counter in a cabinet. The complete process of online purchase through Amazon and delivery was flawless. It is very simple and easy to operate and clean.
The temperature of the coffee is 165 degrees upon finished brewing. The coffee tastes delicious and most important, stays very hot in the carafe for hours. The last cup tastes as good as the first cup because of the carafe.
Directions are easy to read. I highly recommend this product and Amazon.
Take that carafe anywhere and the flavor and heat is retained for hours. Note the placement of carafe and make sure it is centered correctly and tap the start button.
Excellent design - not idiot proof but close. Use a #4 filter and fold it at the bottom seam twice and on the edge once.
Best value coffee maker on the planet. Fill reservoir with cold clean water and required coffee in basket.
Perfect fit. Rinse carafe with warm water and screw on lid tight.
5 minutes later and a bit of steam noise signals it is done. An excellent coffee brewer.
I was very excited to finally get my Zoji. I felt that it was way to much work and worry. I was determined that this was the coffee maker that I had to have. The instructions say to use a #4 filter, but it really required a #3 which are nowhere to be found. I LOVE IT. I was so disappointed when I found out that more than 50% of the times I used it, the coffee ended up all over my counter top instead of in the carafe. Not to mention that the holes need to be lined up perfectly or this will also cause it to overflow.
Very disappointed in this machine. I read alot of reviews and researched. It is disappointing to wake up in the morning to the smell of yummy coffe but to find it all over your counter instead of in the carafe. This is a very "picky" machine. If you use the #4 you have to fold it just so and sometimes it will still cause it to overflow. I took mine back and got the Cuisineart Grind and Brew. There is nothing like fresh ground coffee.and guess what.it actually brews it right in the carafe instead of all over my countertops.
The Zojirushi EC-BD15 Fresh Brew Thermal Carafe Coffee Maker has been the best I've had in years. After some pretty disappointing coffee makers, this one has been easy to use and kept the coffee pretty hot. It's thermal carafe isn't of the quality of my old Black and Decker, so I wouldn't want to leave the coffee very long without drinking, but it is light and easy to use. I would recommend it to anyone.
